Dying light weapons for decapication7/21/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() This was the point of the Parking Lot post. Get on a Van or some high ground where you can still reach down and cut heads off of those enemies gathering around you. Note that an earlier poster in here suggested a good approach. Not so sure about Long Swords or Bastard Swords (B-swords also vary in what the game considers them to be, from one to another, so they may swing differently). Seems the notes earlier in thread are suggesting that machetes, swords, similar variants like short swords and kopeshes, should stay at head level throughout, not so sure about axes (seems not). A two handed weapon should swing at least in full semicircle, but the question is will it stay at head level once aimed there. ![]() In higher difficulty, well that's more about being able to handle that difficulty.Īs an extreme alternate, which I have never tried, you might consider using that whirlwind like attack, power axe attack, or maybe even a powered attack with the weapons above. With a cheap handling upgrade, the Kopeshes are excellent (grey or green upgrade is more than adequate for that purpose.)īut the Kopeshes are a bit faster, longer reached, and should do nicely. You can slap on a Handling Upgrade if you like, Rais Rebels drop them all the time, so you can have an infinite supply, and the other guys usually drop a Superior Shortsword, which is also pretty darn good. In Normal, the Kopeshes are quality handling weapons with a long reach. I've got 23 of 30 now and it'll only take me another 5-10 minutes for the rest. I use 1-2 medkits and get like 3-4 triple headshots every time I go all the way across, it really isn't difficult at all it just takes some time and a bit of timing. I got maxed two-handed and medkit efficiency, an upgraded purple fire axe with 6,7k damage and I'm running back and forth and back and forth between the most crowded places on the Infamy bridge. I'm doing it on nightmare NG+ right now and I have no problem at all. For one thing, even if you don't die you run out of stamina pretty quickly and then you're in trouble. You can't just push into the zombies, keeping going forward and swinging. I guess on normal or hard it's easier, but when you die so quickly on nightmare, it's just not that easy. You should get gold-tier or orange, max upgraded and crafted machete or something similar with 5,000+ damage, use firecrackers to lure zombies into one spot and drink stamina booster. Main Menu > Play > Campaign > Save > Advanced > Change difficulty back to Normal, don't have Bozak Horde or any DLC based quarantine zone tracked as quest or difficulty options won't appear.īesides that, it's going to be very difficult on Nightmare Game + mode, especially at higher story 100%, it'll take a lot of time, I wouldn't suggest this unless you actually want it that way and aren't worried about doing the bounty as soon as possible. I have been doing the ultimate weapon quest, in old town, but there aren't enough zombies there, not grouped close enough together, and I usually die pretty quickly.Įven if I do manage to survive through the time limit, I'm lucky to get 1 or 2 triple-decaps in a single run, and usually only 1.
